> Help me! SonyEricsson T610 or Samsung SGH-V200?

The V200 is very poor in features,screen properties are high,anyway this is a known fact.The T610 has more connectivity features,but java and mophun synergenix mixed platform crap make it really hard for anyone to find compatible java apps and games.I dont think that there are many developers interested to create games and apps for the T610,so conclusively its a semi java phone if you cant expand the range of programs even because of the low memory of 1.8 MB in total.Other than that the screen isnt that big,the characters are smaller than the T68i,browsing isnt that exciting,of course its a good chinese phone which has the habit to crash alot. As for Samsung the only phone(upcoming)worth taking a peek at it will be the D700(because it has Series 60 platform from Nokia),but again battery life will be low.

I know you can download ringtones, but what bugged me when i had my V200 is that you canīt get rid of the totally un-exciting (albeit good sounding) 30+ standard tones! If memory serves me right you could only add som 3-4 tunes of your own?
Once I discovered that Samsung had the same "what you see is what youīve got - period" software as Nokia, it started to bug me to the point where I got a t610 instead.
That said, no phone i know of can match Siemens when it comes to freedom to do what YOU want with YOUR phone. Pity the other manufacturers donīt copy that feature.. the "open" filesystem that is.

It realy sux .. And i have to charge it every night .. Hello, we live in the 2k ... Damnit, i realy regrets that i bought the v200.

Whatīs the point in asking for advice, get advice that points almost 100% AGAINST the V200 and then go buy it?
Good thing iīm not the kind of guy who says "What did I say"
Anyway, hope you will be as happy with your v200 - t610 swap as I was/am.

hehe ... It sounds a little bit wierd ... =) But the thing is that i traded some djunk for the phone, with a friend. I traded one T300 + a Sony Stereo for it. And my plan was to get the v200, than trade that one for a T610! So a asked you guys cus i couldnt make up my mind if i should trade the v200 for a t610 or not.
But now i realy know that i should

Stuck with 30+ embarrassing tones and only room for a couple of your own.. Silly!

Thatīs one of the reasons i like Siemens so much. SE comes a close second in that aspect while Nokia and Samsung is "What you see is what you get" or more correctly: What you see is what youīre gonna be stuck with..

I don't really see the problem since you can add the tones/songs you want.
And the sound is much better than everything else I have heard and for me that is more important than beeing able to remove the preinstalled songs.
