Right, jools can you tell me exactly what to do with the folder of a theme in mactar? Here's another question, what is the file and creator type signatures for themes, Mophun games and imy files, all of these are text and .ttxt on my mac, if i changed them using file buddy, i think my phone would accept them.

I managed to edit a theme on my Mac.
After converting to .tar I used
FileTyper to make it the same file type as an existing theme and it all seems to work

PhoneAgent. That has a Mac theme editor built-in and is alot simpler than the steps in this thread.
