OK - here is my review of the Plantronics M300 as promised.
I only intended to buy this to use as a true hands free kit when commuting - so my views are only based on 1 and a bit hours use per day.
1. Comfort
In terms of comfort and fit etc, it is OK. I couldnt envisage wearing it for much longer than i do - in fact when i am driving, i tend to have the headset switched on and keep it in the centre console. Then when i feel or hear my phone ring, i put the headset on. In terms of comfort i'd give it 3/5
2. Set up
Dead easy - google is your friend if you struggle with the in box instructions. For ease of set up 5/5. Once it is paired you can turn it on and off when you get in and out of the car. I only last night had to do my first battery charge on the headset. If bluetooth is turned on on the T610 then it will automatically pick the headset up when a call comes in.
3. Functionality.
Tend to use the main button on the headset only (once you've got the volume to your liking). The main button is simple - one quick press answers a call. One long press initiates voice activated dialling (if you have recorded voice tags on the handset).
Seems to work quite well - one little gripe that isnt major, when the phone starts to ring, you dont get the voice tag played through the headset before the ring otne starts. Therefore if the phone is out of view in th car, you are answering blind. Doesnt bother me really. There is a way of rejecting a call with the headset - but i cant remember how. I'd give it a 4/5
4. Overall.
For 50 odd quid I am well happy with my purchase. As i said i switch it on when i get in the car, and switch it off when i get out. Therefore the battery life is circa 2 weeks for me with my 40 minute commute.
Would i recommend it - if money is no problem i'd probably have gone for a more expensive model, but the plantronics is solid and does what i want it to.
Hope that helps!
