Well I have sent all the information of to the Swedish police, but as yet have not heard any news at all. Insurance company are just been a waste of time, never use Norwich Union as your insurance firm if you want to claim. They may give competitive prices, but that is because they don't pay out for weeks. So they say that now they have my documents they will send them of to an engineer, to get a valuation on my car. This I find pointless as it was only a few months old had 5142 miles on the clock, it had not even been for it's first service yet. So it looks like I have a fight on my hands.

This is the address of one of the people that were called from my stolen phone either on the day of the theft or the next day. I can only asume that the theives were trying to ofload some of their loot or possibly the car. I have given this info to the Swedish police, but as yet no reply from them. I have looked on a map of Norway, and all the places I have addresses for all seem to be no more than about 100kms from Oslo. The car was stolen about 6:00am in the morning on the 31st August, and the first calls were made at about 15:00hrs on the same day. Now from Goteborg to Oslo should only take about 3-4hrs drive, so they should have been in Oslo by noon. Now taking in to mind they would need to see what they had got to sell, and who would be the best people to sell to, add another hour or so for sorting this out and you see that the time of the first call starts to tie in. Now as yet I do not know whether it is a Swedish or Norwegian gang that stole the car, but as all their contacts seem to be Norwegian, I can only imagine they are Norwegian. The car is a Kia Sedona MPV silver in colour and looks abit like a Ford Galaxy or similar. I can email you a picture of it if you want, but I would imagine that it will be in lots of bits by now.

No it was stolen in Goteborg but as far as I am aware it is now in Norway. The phone was in the car and was used to call the numbers I gave you, which are all Norwegian numbers.

It would be difficult but not impossible. I say this because due to the laws about traveling abroad, you must carry all documentation for the vehicle in it, and as the car was stolen with all the documents, they could sell it on as their own. But as I have just learnt, there seems to be a big trade in Diesel engines in Norway and Sweden, and as this has one of the most powerful and economic engines in its class, it is a 2.9 turbo intercooled engine with only 5000 miles on it, it would be worth upto £3000. The vehicle is worth in all upto £20000 in spare parts alone, if all the parts were sold on. The bare shell alone is worth £1000. So as you can see there are a few ways to sell either the whole or parts of this car. Any way the insurance have been on the phone today, and it sounds like the car will be replaced shortly.
