I dropped my T600 3 times: twice on a tiled floor; face down. Only some minor points visible - but even so a shame because this phone's beauty is the main reason to buy it.
A third time i dropped it outside on cement tiles with a lot of sand around. now two little points at the bottom 'corners front side, but they wear off after some time.
Phone still working fine.
The A2628 i had has survived more severe droppings and slidings over the flooor w/o problems. There the problem was/is the velvety finish of the plastic which gives a fine feel but is very easily scratched. After two journeys in my girlfriends handbag it had scratches from keys. Keys seem to be the most important enemy of a phone. Back of my T600 has also a scratch of 1cm becuase of a key nearby. My own fault.
It's a piy that all those leather or plastic cases are so ugly. If you bought a phone because you like how it looks you are not going to bag it away.
Finally i must say I'm impressed with the aluminium paint on the keyboard oth the T600 and possibly other phones. Does not wear al all.

I droped T610 twice... from 1m it fell on comupter(metal) and then on flor. Nothig went wrong. Second time it fell of my pocket on concrete(street). Ouch, it have just one big scrach on alu body but i will pollish it out. ALU ROX!

2 summers ago when i was in europe, my uncle gave me an r310s he had laying around. that is the greatest phone for durability. i went rafting with it, it was in the pants and i was swimming, nothin happened to it.
now the killer....we were at the sea and my sister wanted to send an SMS to a friend. i was on the 2nd floor, she was on the ground...cement groud. she promised to catch it, so i dropped it. but at the last minute, she jumped out of the way and it SLAMMED onto the cement. she said she thought the shark antena would have poked her eye out!
when i got to pick it, up, there is just a scratch on the back. didn't even turn off or restart!!! now that's a phone! i wish it could somehow work in the US because that is the best backup phone anyone could ever have.

I had a fukia 3390, I dropped it off my pocket into the floor, then the phone crashed everytime I played, and the vibrator didn't work nemore (that's why i hate nokia)... so i bought a SE T300, although i'm very careful with it (it's brand new) i dropped it, it didn't got even a scratch!!

but i also got 2 kids , one is 8 and the other one is 2 so i dont even know how many times it has visit the concret , sand , table , and even inside of a mc donalds large coke ...
but you know what ... my t68i still works great
I allready change the front and backhousing for obvious reasons... but the phone still works great ...
The worst time something happen to it ... was when i was driving out of my house , i was talking trough my
bluetooth , and my daughter she is 2 grabed the phone and threw it out the back window ...
like i said i was only driving out ... so i was doing like 5 miles but still ... my phone bounce like 2 or 3 times ...

I once made a mistake by leaving my T68i on the coffee table one night. The next day I went searching for it and no luck, so I tried to call it with my home phone. The next thing I hear is my dog (a golden retriever in case you wonder) ran out from the kitchen (where she sleeps at night) and my phone started to ring. Finally I've found my phone on her bed covered with saliva. Lucky I had the condom case on, but I still had to remove the whole housing and dry up some of the saliva. I had to put my phone in a sealed box along with some scent for 2 days to get the smell off -_-
