Sorry for going slighty off topic, but i agree that the PSP is going to be the next ( REAL ) step forward in handheld gaming, and PS3... oh my goodness dont get me started, i cant wait to Microsofts response to the PSP when it is finally launched. This message was posted from a P800

The N-gage is an attempt for nokia to make a good gaming device because of all the success from snake and stuff. So this was there next logical step. No way can they dream to compete with p800 they have no competition. However the device is awfull in design the reset button is to close to the gaming buttons whihc can be disaterous and basing it on the 3300 design is a bit poo as you have to take the batterey out to change mmc. The screen is the wrong way around aswell.

GBA has problems as it is nothing special it plays game thats it and the games are stupidly priced

PSP however is looking good if sony can stick to deliver what they claim with gaming abilities along with mp4 play back and movies in the UDMA format. It is not a phone just a great gaming device UDMA discks look tasty. There is reports abotut possibly making a GSM adaptor but this probalby wont happen....for some time at least

Any way back to Nokia they will try to enjoy as many sales as possible from the kids pestering mummy and daddy. Then eventually some one else will make one unless Nokia's hand set falls flat on it's face then it will just be a forgotten market segment.

Is it a rival for p800 yes it is a rival for the p800 in the same terms as a SL55 being a rival to the p800

did you perhaps forget to sign in with your other account today??? coz this is a far cry from the usual nixon questions....

I don't know why some people say they can't be compared, yes they are aimed at two different markets, but lets be honest If you wan't to buy a good smartphone most people will consider buying a p800 or a N7650 or a N3650 and n-gage is practically the same phone as the 3650 and 7650 (bluetooth, 176*220 4k screen, etc.) but n.gage has more intense graphics (red faction looks killer and should be, considering that John Romero is developing it)

I think the p800 can be compared to Nokia communicator but communicator is geting really old so most people who are better friends with nokia still consider buying a 7650, 3650 and finally n-gage and 6600, so I dont think it's like comparing apples and oranges it's just comparing some flagship models from two of the worlds greatest companies

My opinion- If you like playing games and you don't have alot of use for calendar,internet... then buy the n-gage otherwise buy the p800 Doom is still good and geopod isn't bad at all

Guys, guys, guys,

I will keep my P800! No way that i am going to buy a N-gage and lose the P800! I only thought that it would be nice to have a gamedeck and a phone in one.... Of course, P800 is the best out of these two... And also, the prices of the games for the N-Gage Ar F.... High! 62 euros for TombRaider! For 62 euros I can buy a PS2 Game, my dearest friend Nokia (NOT).

Now I know how the community reacts on the comparision of thse phones. So I can conclude that Nokia, and at least the N-Gage.....sux?

MMSman,

You said that the N-Gage could be compared with the CommuniCator?
Sorry, but you are totally WRONG! The Communicator is a higly developed, HandHeld Organizer, I can't recognize at least one pro of the Communicator that's on the N-Gage too....

Besides, the Communicator isn't for Kids who want to play 'Pandemonium'......

You could compare the Comunnicator with the P800 because both handhelds are phones with PDA capabilitys. If there's isn't a 9310, then there is no serious competitor to the P800.

@KoKayne: Sorry if I've been unclear I was comparing SE to Nokia and not Nokia to Nokia let me say it again:

If you want to COMPARE mobile phones by classes you can say:

p800,p900(?)-9210i,6600(?),9310(?)
p200(?)-7650,3650,3660(?),7600(?)
psp with SE phone modul(?)- n-gage

BUT beacuse phones with (?) aren't out yet it's more logical to compare it this way:

p800-9210i,3650,n-gage,7650

I think you can also compare t610 with 7650 but OK I was just puting in phones that are BIG and SMARTPHONE alike

So I didn't quite get it why some guys are talking that p800 IS NOT like n-gage yes it isn't BUT the p800 is better to compare than the T610 and I've thought that you want to compare SE-Nokia
smartphone with good 3D games
