I'm not too fond of the UIQ anyway. UIQ 2.1 may have some pleasant improvements but I dont think I'll use them a lot. I use Tarcker to go about the my p800.

so how do u expect to fit ur precious UIQ2.1 on the P800?
rewrite it? cuz a few hundred users want it?
yeah ok...
SE is not running a charity..
while ur at it, keep asking for java on the T68i
it will never happen
Exactly what I said, come on peeps, I'll bite the bullet here and make a stance - how many of you REALLY know what UIQ2.1 is? If you're wanting the nicey-nicey functionality of UIQ2.1, then get 3rd party shareware programs, if you want the full functionality of UIQ2.1, then get a P900!!

This is maybe a stupid question, but what exactly is Tracker 3 and UIQ ? :-)

The improvements rayan says are all good ones, but the most important is the better look of the p900. (The name p810 should've more logical.)
The other improvements are logical to compete with the concurents. (65k, video) The wow-effect when the p800 was anounced isnt there. (It could've been with a megapixel camera, wifi, word, excel, ...)

Think o UIQ as been the Windows frontend, and Tracker as been a tool like windowblinds / litestep.
UIQ is the default interface for your phone, Tracker is an ehancement like having, for example, a shortcut icon on your screen that at one click can send an sms/mms message to a contact, rather than you going to Message -> Create SMS. Or allow you to change icons, backdrops, onc-click icons to any of your apps.
It's actually quite good, but eats battery juice like it's going out of fashion!!

Good comments guys!
I think SE is finally using the Nokia Business Model. Release several phones that are basically the same (with little enhancements and different looks). T610 = V600 (clam shape but same interface and features). P800 = P900 (relatively same hardware, different look, additional features). If it worked with Nokia, it would probably work with SE. Sales and market share would probably increase because of this. Especially when a lot of P800 owners switch to the P900! Lol!!!
Lets just hope SE doesn't sacrifice the quality of their phones. But so far they've been releasing good ones... The T68 can still hold itself up in terms of capabilities. the T610 surely beats any nokia phone feature-wise. The P800 is one of the better smartphones in the market. The upcoming P900 would surely maintain SE's lead in making quality Smartphones. (Athough others are catching up like Handspring... not Nokia.)

The lack of WOW is what I think will make a lot of people wait. If I'm been really honest (a first for me!! LOL

) I'd only be getting the P900 for the sake of saying I've got the latest. If I'm practical, I'll wait until

release something in the near future, I'm 99.9% positive that the P900 is a stepping stone between the P800 and something much much better on the horizon.
