it looks sweet but it seems that it has 'soft' buttons. the numbers always wear off for me

wierd? - nope I think it looks "great" - and in real life alot better than on the picture. Its just a bit smaller than the T310 overall but the screen takes up more space since its bigger - it looks kinda "rough" with the metallic body

Have been toying with it for a couple of hours now - and its been lots fun Its not as nice/elegant as the T610 - the T610 definately feels/looks more classy.

But it has alot of fun features, and the software that comes with the phone is amazing.

A mediacontent browser that lists all media on your pc in the left pane and all media on the phone in the right pane and available space. You are free to create folders on your phone for mediacontent. Within the browser all media have thumbnails and can be previewed, and you can select any number of media and transfer all at the same time to or from the phone.

A soundcustomisation software where you can add/mix any number of wave or mp3 and when you transfer it to the phone it automatically converts it to amr. You can of course also add midi and select what part of a midi you want transfered.

Theres software for imagemanipulation, stampcreation to create stamps that you can put on the pictures in the phone, animation creation software, synchsoftware for just about any pim, including outlook express which is the first time ive seen etc. etc.

The soundquality of the 24 polys are absolutely terrible compared to SE's 32 polys - but my kid says its ok - lol - but you can record and select your own amr files as ringtones or messagenotifiers, sounds really funny when the phone yels "YO, you've got a message" when an sms arrives, or "Pick up the darn phone m8" when someone calls

For the youngsters this really is a FUNphone
The businesspeople or "grown ups" definately will like the T610 better

Oh - one thing i found astonishing was the cam quality compared to my T610. Besides all the things you can do with this cam, mosaik picture, take pictures with sound, Zoom, etc.

Here are 2 pics - taken from the same spot with only seconds in between. Its a rather greyish day with poor conditions for photography. Same cam settings in both phones.

First Alcatel 735:



Then T610:



Notice the terrible colorerrors in the whitepoint of the T610, and notice the curved image. The A735 picture is way more precise in both details, definition, colorreproduction and well just about everything.
The strange purple block in the right corner of the T610 image is a white Pickup that had just parked there. And the purple in the top is actually a white/grey sky.

I will post some more comparative pictures if anyone is interested.

I think my kid will have alot of fun with this phone while I keep my T610

never noticed the "fisheye" effect of the t610s cam. oof. thank goodness i didnt buy the phone for the cam or else i'd be beat

wow, the alcatel camera is much better. i think it seems like a pretty good phone. hmm, maybe an option for my lil bro, but then again, he specifically wants Bluetooth to follow in the footsteps of his big sis
