@royalty....
Yea mate it was a hardware problem. Both of them....now i dont have the vertical line nor do i have the sync problem.
@icecoolsam....
Ermmm wotdya mean hardware version mate....if u mean the FW....well its still the same....R3A....apparently all the official lot of P900's imported by Salora International who is the sole distributor for SE in India are R3A's. Tomorrow i will be going to the SE service centre here in Pune to get it upgraded to R3B.
Best Regards,
Doc.
P.S. ppl repeatedly ask this question as to if they shud buy the P900 considering these problems....well m8's all i can say is that a P900 is a must have but jus to be on the safe side open ur P900's in the shop itself and have a go at it....that way if it doesn have a problem u can swap it then n there.

Got my P900 replaced today with a new one and the "scary line" is no longer there

It definitely is a problem with display and thats what SE guy told me..
I would suggest all the guys having the same problem get their P900 replaced and dont assume it to be a FW issue.
The Build quality of my new P900 is much much better but it still squeaks a little when pressed on the sides.

Well, I sent out my P900 to expansys to get a replacement unit

, God knows when I'll get the replacement unit considering they're out of stock...this really does suck! No P900 for at least a week..

I was actually considering not sending it, but I mean for $800 I shouldn't take an annoying defect like that. A friend of mine was like "oh you're nitpicking, it's nothing"...but I mean for an $800 phone I should have every right to be!

@docc
@icecoolsam
Hi
Which place are you guys from? I'm from Calcutta and planning to take the P900 for replacement tomorrow.
Did you guys have any trouble at the

service centre. Were they aware of the problems. Also, when you guys got the new P900, was it the latest in terms of firmware and hardware version. Please let me know. Thanks.
