I just want to clarify one thing....I am on T-Mobile's network in CA and I subscribed to the T-ZOne service for $9.99/mo unlimited (old plan). As far as I know, T-Zone is not GPRS. Its only a WAP connection. If you want real GPRS connection which is faster than WAP then you would need to apply for the $19.99/mo unlimited internet access. This internet access is the same one they use for the sidekicks.

i'm on Orange Romania and i have Wap unlimited for 4$ a month. With P800 internal browser i can access any internet site(not only wap) except the ones with frames.Speed is about 2-3 kbs minimum and is enough. With internet gprs i get 5-6 kbs but you have to pay 2$/ Mb.The traffic last month was about 60 Mb...with 4$. That is good...Opera does'nt work with wap account.

I surf the net on WAP/T-Zone with opera. The reason I know T-Zone is WAP, I was not able to run MSN messenger from 12 planet. I got a message saying that I need to have full GPRS connection and not WAP.

T-Mobile USA offers two different services, T-Zone for 4.99/mo and Internet Access for 19.99/mo.

The price plans might be different in CA because T-Mobile uses Cingular's network in CA. They made a roaming agreement a few years ago so both companies would save money. T-Mobile uses Cingular's network in CA while Cingular uses T-Mobile's network in NY.

However, the $4.99 plan is new so try calling cust service and see if you can get it.

Are you sure you're not talking about the T-zone??? If you are, then that's just the WAP service for $4.99

I'm talking about real internet here!

Are you talking about connecting with your laptop THROUGH your mobile phone? If so, I have been confused all along. I thought we were discussing web access ON your phone.

I'm talking about on the Phone, nothing to do with laptop here.
Using your phone to do eveyrthing that you're allowed on the real internet. Emails, Surfing the web, Instant Messanging, IRC, and even FTP through Java.
