Maybe you mean kipling? London wrote about a woman and a robber, but no stories about monkeys. This message was posted from a T310

Best book ever (actually, it's four books): the Hyperion quartet by Dan Simmons. Stay away if you don't like Sci Fi, must read otherwise.

I'm not that fond of sci fi... As I mentioned before my big "passion" is biological stuff. Viruses, nanoparticles and so on. Does anyone know any good books about these stuff. I mean thrillers with some "bad guys" and so on. Not fact books, they're boring

i'm a big fan of terry pratchett (discworld novels) and douglas adams (the five part hitch-hiker trilogy). i also like the early work of david eddings and raymond e. feist. j.k. rowling is pretty good too, as is roald dahl (are we detecting a theme in my reading habits yet?). i also like baroness orczy (the scarlet pimpernell).

Oh course! The holy Douglas Adams. Now that I come to think of it esato has been wasting time on letting us users answer questions, it could do that itself. Just have a autoreply setting set to 42 and everybody will be fine
Roald Dahl is, as mentioned also good. I remember my mom reading Narnia to me when I was little and I think I liked it so I'll say that another good author is C. S. Lewis.

For some reason I was sure the Hitchhikers guide was a 4 part trilogy....... must be because I am reading it now (again)

Oh well...... I am into Sci Fi/fantasy books, altho I wouldn't turn down a good suspense-thriller either

In act I'd read pretty much anything and everything, provided it is not boring me. I have a very serious reading-addiction..... have had it since i was 6 and knew how to read my first words

All time favs (aside from Douglas Adams) are Tolkien, Terry Brooks (the 'Shanarra' series), Dutch author Harry Mulisch (he wrote 'the discovery of heaven', among many other things) and.. and... and.. there are sooooooooo many books that I found touching and impressing
