Hi all. This problem is happend to most P900s in our P900 user community here in Jakarta Indonesia. My company bought 20 units of P900 and 9 of them have this problem. Some only have 1 line of orage/blue line but some even have 2 lines. The authorised SE distributor here takes responsibility by changing the LENS ONLY. Some people which complaint earlier got the phone replaced but now SE dealer will only replace the camera. Include myself, I will get my turn next 2 days. They will contact me for lens replacement.
So everybody who suffered from this problem are queuing for the lens to be replaced.

@Super G

For 500 bucks less you could have my hand holding that 6600 removed from your throat!

Regarding a black vertical line in the middle of the camera/video view, I just found out that mine has that problem as well, but I have noticed that the line only appear in a dark (insufficient lighting) area. The line disappear when the camera pointing toward a bright area. I tested it by moving it from a bright area to a dark area. For those who have this problem, would you confirm this?
I talk to the mobile dealer where I bought the P900, but I don't think he will replace it for me because he specially ordered just one for me when it first came out. So I guess I am (was) the only P900 owner in Toronto. The best he can do is to send it back to SE services which unlikely I will do that. Any suggestion?

@Keath
What you noticed is true the lines seem to appear mostly in dim light and more frequently during the night and indoor modes. One more thing in such defected phones like mine and yours if you increase the brightness you will notice few extra-illuminated pixels . I have tried a "normal" p900 and this problem did not occur.
I am still waiting for a solution.

Every P900 is still under warranty!!!. You get at least 12 monts of warranty.

In belgium we get 15 months on the production date!
The production date is on the sticker under the battery.
03w49 is mine. It means 2003 week of production is 49 (end of the year) Check you're phone.
So I have warranty till the beginning of 2005.

Even if you don't buy the phone in a shop, they have to give warranty on the productiondate.

if anyone hijacks this thread again about pc palm things then i will see to it that they are banned.

dont bother in telling hkk04 that he shoudn't have paid the money. becasue its too late for that and i think he knows.

i have not experienced this problem. but dont stay at rest. ring up se direct and get them to do something about the money you paid. the people that replaced your camera for you were like those plumber guys who tell you there is somehting wrong with your heating, and dont do anything and then charge.These guys saw it as an oppurtunity to get money and have replaced the parts for no reason. so dont give up.

esatos on your side!
