Hey guys im happy to see that my group has caught on! If you guys want to post the solution for unbranding the P900 in the group then you are welcome. Anything is welcome even links to other forums and groups so nock yourselves out.

It should only take about half a day to approve your membership, sorry for the wait.

Now with regards to the unbranding of the P900, well I went to the orange service centre and got my Orange Updated for 7 pounds. The first time I had a problem recieving my sms. So I took it back for a reflash. And all of this is within the warrany.This sort of unbrands it , exept for a small message saying "welcome to orange" which you can live with.
If you have your P900 with Voda, then If they have put all that vodaphone crap on then get then be welcome to unbrand it "i would ! ".

Any sorry that i havent had time to update the group much , but i will be adding aloot of new stuff and re-vamping it next week , I hope.

I'm on Sunrise Switzerland, and even though the phone is pretty much unbranded, as in there's a selectable theme, and an "infokiosk" menu item, themajor pain in the ass is that the CDA version for Sunrise is 4/5 r2a01, with a r1a05 organiser. that sucks, because it's not updateable.

@Astromarine

I'm also in Switzerland and I HAD a Swisscom branded phone until last night. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/xerodiac , register yourself as a member and be free

I'm sorry. The "," was also considered as part of the link and that is why it isn't working. I will edit my post. The link is on the first page of this thread anyways.

The 'Welcome to Orange' message on startup is a SIM message. Take these steps to remove:

1. Take out Orange SIM card
2. Put in O2, Voda or T-bag SIM.
3. Turn on phone.

et volia, you will never see that message ever again!

I've no interest in this method myself - I did it the 'safe' way over christmas by getting the Oxford St Orange repair centre to do a full flash with the OEM software - allowing me to update online as normal.
