Ace...
I understand what you are saying... and I think it possibly is morally wrong... although this would be a purely subjective approach of course...
Although, in a country where items, especially electrical, are consistently more expensive here than at our European or Eastern counterparts, it is nice, just for once, to be able to get "something for nothing so to speak"...
It follows, that not everyone will reduce their tariff, and even if people do, then the chances are that they will adopt a GPRS bundle or actually go over their inclusive minutes anyway, and as such, mobile operators will gain in this way... moreso if you continue subscription beyond the 12 months...
I believe, that as with most subsrciption type thingies, the company you contract with much prefers the regular income that may be generated through you, and so, the small loss that occurs in the actual outlay of the phone is covered tenfold...
On another note, one may say that operators who brand and lock their telephones are, too, morally wrong, denying us freedom of choice in the future... a company which fulfills our needs at one point may cease to do so at some point during the year... further, call charges are undoubtedly higher than traditional landlines even in this day and age where mobiles are mainstream, so this will provide for some loss also...
As ever, it seems as though such an argument is half of one, 50% of the other...

That is a very true arguement you put up there... Thanks for pointing the point out about companys locking mobile phones... it is not right actually... but then, as you said, it really depends on how you view it ... I am approching it at a different angle from most of you... There isn't a right or wrong obviously

I understand that the way you see it is the fact that some electronic goods in the EU is slightly overpriced... but then, on the other hand, I am looking it on the opposite direction... the way I see it is that if you can't afford to buy it, then why bother ? And I use my analogy (yes I know it isn't very good!) That why would you want to have a ferrari if you won't be able to afford to drive it eg. the petrol prices, and instead downgrade it to a diesel and get to drive a ferrari which most people presume that you are able to afford... but the fact is that you did it well, in a sence, the 'Crocked' way - that isn't the right word but I can't think of any for now... Anyway, I won't argue this furthur coz thier isn't a point, nobody gains from this

Hope u happy with ur P900! Great little phone... problem is that it would be better if they had a better headphone... The ones they include isn't very sufficent for it to work as a music player
