It installs properly, and there are no indications of any problems whatsoever. It just refuses to load up pages! It normally says accessing page...then I wait for ages and nothing happens.

I see, it sounds as if there is a problem with your internet connection itself. I take it you have GPRS attached and everything is set up correctly?

I manage to browse properly using the in-built browser. Are there some particular settings I need to set in Opera? (Although I've not really found anything that can be changed)

There are no settings within Opera itself to choose which internet connection to use, it will simply use whichever connection you have specified as your preffered connection in control panel.

'tis a strange, strange world.
Oh well, perhaps it's a problem with my Opera file, even though it installed properly. Maybe I should try and get another file and reinstall it (again!).
Hope someone else can tell you about battery consumption by Opera in the meantime!

What is your preffered connection?

It is normally Vodafone-GPRS, although I have tried to run Opera by changing my prefered connection to O2-gprs, O2 MobileWeb, O2 GSM as well (I have an O2 account on top of my Voda!)...didn't work either...

I will demonstrate my ignorance and say that I am a little confused. You have two accounts you say, do you have two SIM cards operating in the same phone or are there two acocunts on the one SIM card?
Which network provider are you with?

Ahh...I have 2 accounts, both on separate SIM cards...I switch cards occasionally depending on my usage! And in this instance I have switched cards when attempting to use either Voda or O2's internet connections.
Why do I have 2 accounts, you ask? Well, I got my O2 account simply because I wanted to get the P900. My Voda, I've faithfully and loyally had for the last 5 years and did not really want to change! Especially since they offered me a free upgrade to stay on with them, from which I have sold the phone to help pay for the account and I am now happily using the P900 with 2 separate accounts

Well if you would care to adjourn to the drawing room I think that perhaps I can offer an explanation as to your troubles.
I am in a similar positon to yourself, having two Orange SIM cards, one is for business and one is for personal use. I sometimes swap them between my P900 and my T610. Now I have noticed that soemtimes after i have swapped the cards around there is a problem sending and receiving e-mails and using other GPRS functions e.g. MMS
I telephoned orange about this and was told that it was a result of changing SIM crads. They didn't give me a very good explanation of why it wa shappening, just that the swapping of the SIM cards was responsible. They sent me my GPRS settings again and everything worked fine.
Now I am not saying that this is what is happening in your case, but it does sound similar. I would recommend that you choose one SIM card, put it into your P900 and then telephone the network provider and ask them to send you your GPRS settings again. Hopefully this will result in you being able to use Opera.
