ok, this is getting out of hand with wild speculations and statements and certainly I know nothing of any bans for posting in those threads and certainly if you are banned you would not be able to post messages from mobile either. So please log in on pc again and check it out, people occassionally do get a ban message in error and it then works the next time.
The reason the thread in questions was removed is quite simple and that is because the thread was requested to be removed by the thread originator themselves.
However it was my opinion that when a moderator makes a decision (and indeed this was a joint moderator decision) which is initiated from a PM by a member I prefer to keep that between that member and myself and other mods (where appropriate as in this case)
Unfortunately, due to all these posts questioning the integrity of Esato we have decided to make the reason known but ask that in future you might consider that action moderators take usually has a valid reason.

Many thanks for your explanation.
I agree that things like this would be preferably kept personal between the poster and the mods, but you guys have to appreciate that when such a hot topic like this appears, most people are going to be at least intrigued, and at most miffed as to why the thread suddenly disappears for no valid reason.

Well I suppose I had best jump in with an opinion. I am rather sad to see that masseur has posted a valid and logical explanation as to why the other topic was closed. I was really hoping to be able to waffle on about 'freedom of speech', 'democracy', police states', etc, but now I can't and all because the moderators had to act in a reasonable and civilised manner.
Whatever happened to the days when moderators were tyrannical cold hearted authoritarians?

I was also going to jump on the boat and challenge the decision especially when some one above have mentioned that the reason for removing the posts were very obvious and me for one couldn't see the obvious reason before Masseur explained.
