> Coolest use of GPRS?

I am quite a heavy user, mostly utilising GPRS for business, but I don't think I would be prepared to pay that amount, it just isn't worth it for me. I suppose there are some people who use GPRS so much that that would work out quite economical for them.

I believe flat rate GPRS is quite cheap in the US, i.e. around $20/month.
I don't think my free GPRS will last more than a few months but I guess I can't complain about something that costs nothing

O2 PAYG Online GPRS has been totally free since November 2002. The GPRS though is for WAP only and not Mobile Net GPRS. But with the P900 gateway feature i can surf almost all the internet with it. I have clocked over 50MB this month alone and still not getting charged a penny. Enjoy

i am one of tthose lucky people who got genie O2 p&go sim (which came for free also. Free wap, free Gprs wap, 300 free text messages p/month

for free etc. Now -i am downloading up to 200 MB per month of different stuff on my mobile and uploading up to 50 MB... no charges..no problems, thanks O2! tho unfortunately O2 will start charging for Gprs usage from march of this year which is really sad. Dont think of me as a bandwidth waister, i am using gprs for receiving and transferring files for my business- drawings, e-mails, important documents, msn messenger, news, weather, yellow pages info (phone numbers and addresses), ticket prices ,remote controlling the server +many more options..oh yeah-opening almost 90%of all webpages on Opera browser etc. , cant live without it. P800-900 + Gprs =top stuff. Bad away- download speed is great: 1MB in 3minutes 4seconds

We've got a similar gprs-wap unlimited subscription here in France though it's 6E/month.
Anyhow given all info, services and download you can get from the wap using a P800 it's worth the payment.
The only thing that bother me is that I can't download my emails on my P800 since they've put restrictions. If I want to do so I've got to subscribe for an additional 6E/month...

sending sms using GPRS ?
Hey, just got an idea...
If it's indeed possible to send sms using GPRS as you mentionned, then the lucky guys like me who have unlimited GPRS access could may be send sms for free.
Is this really possible?
If yes, any idea how I could do that? (sms settings / special appli ??)
