Anyone know if SE have fixed these problems with McAfee/ "mRouterRuntime..exe" etc yet?

If not I do think it's totally pathetic of them.
I gather that the P900 has been selling like hot cakes here in the UK - so much so that a mate of mine simply can not get his hands on one at any price! So SE have been making the sales and therefore have the cash in the bank.

Now. Hows about making the bl**dy thing work!

Just got my new SE P900 on saturday. )

I have had the same problems with Win2000/Outlook and I run Mcafee too.......

I noticed on my Fujitsu-Windows 2000 machine that the drivers for the P900 were in conflict with something.

I have an old Toshiba laptop running Windows 98 so decide to give it a try and it worked first time no problems what so ever.

good luck

I am having *major* problems synching my new P900 with Windows2000 / Outlook2002.

I am getting "mRouterRuntime" and "Fatal Exception... Access Violation" errors

I have tried completely disabling my McAfee VirusScan Professional before installation.
I installed PC Suite v2.1.0 off the CDROM and then PC Suite v2.3.1 from the web... but even with McAfee completely disabled I am still getting these errors.

Usually it lets me synch with Outlook fine until I try do a backup and then all hell breaks loose!

Now my PC is on a network, and when I access the Web it goes through a Firewall. Is it possible that the
Firewall could be causing trouble even though the firewall is not actually running directly on my machine?! (If so why ?! because I am not doing anything that acesses the Net!!)

I can see there has been some discussion of mRouter on this forum... but what's the latest?

Should I get in touch with Sony Ericsson directly??
(And if so how!?)

With many thanks

Hi,

I have recently bought a P900 - an awesome phone apart from I couldn't get the damned thing to configure with my PC - which is running XP HOME. I was getting the usual error messages - mRouterRuntime application errors and fatal exceptions.

After a couple of days of grief with this I decided to completely uninstall McAffee VirusScan Professional and McAffee firewall. I rebooted the PC, reloaded the Sony Ericsson software (2.3.1) and, hey presto, the docking station configured first time. No probs since.

Good luck,

Will

Hi

Okay so It looks like MacAfee and P900 just dont like each other.

What about Norton AntiVirus or Sophos?

Can confirm that sync's work fine using Zone Alarm Pro v4.5 and v5.x

However, one interesting fact is that when I first upgraded from ZA v4 to v5 I told the program to remember my current settings and then had all sorts of problems - even though the firewall showed that access to each module was being allowed.

A complete uninstall/re-install forcing ZA to ask permission to grant Internet access to the modules in the SE P900 program suite solved everything and it now works flawlessly again

Good luck with it all...
