Sounds like a good idea to let it dry for another 24hrs. If that does not pan out, I'll try and replace the LCD screen. Has anyone out there done that before? I hope there are instructions on how to replace the display with the part. The hardest part is waiting...

I just opened the case further and was able to see how the ribbon snaps out for the LCD screen. A bit of warning to all when doing this. The ribbon for the jog dial at the top of the circuit board has very short and it seems like the slightest pressure could break it. I think that ribbon has to be snapped off first before removing the LCD ribbon. Cheers...

Ok, now this is not gonna help anymore, I guess, but I read in a serious PC magazine that when dropping your favorite e-toy in water you have to drop it in alcohol (I'm NOT jocking) so that it helps the water evaporate...
