Ironically I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem.
According to o2 it seems that the old wap dial up number
(+447712 927927) is now redundant and +447712 932932 is to take its place. Seems fine up until you find out that the latter number charges you, surprisingly o2 have only had a handful of complaints.
I spoke to the same person and told them I was being charged for my free wap they assured me this problem would be noted and passed on to on to higher powers, I will hopefully know more on Monday, will keep you posted.

I dunno if its just my p900 but in the last few days ive also noticed that my sms are taking longer than normal to arrive because my friend txts me n then txts again and says 'didnt you recieve my txt' and then I get the txt a little while after. this has happened before once or twice but then it has been corrected after a day or so but it doesnt seem corrected after a few days. i think o2 is just mashed up now

My sim card is about 18 months old now and it came advertised with the 300 mintues free dial-up, i have noticed newer o2 online sims didnt have this advertised and you had to pay for it, i may be wrong but im sure this came about when the free 1mb of gprs was introduced and the £2.35 per mb (hahaha free gprs rules).
Maybe only o2 email accounts will work on the free number is thier anybody else having any luck??

I have just tried it and can confirm the free o2 wap does work for email but only for the o2 email account other pop3 servers dont work. Also the free wap works on the internal browser and not on opera. Maybe o2 have put their dialup wap services similar to the GPRS WAP settings.
Btw does anybody still connect with the genie number '41500' os something like that? If so could you confirm whether its free or not and whether it works on third party apps as well. thanks

Dont get me wrong free GPRS is great ive used 0.2G so far and rising but free dial-up was the only way you can use 3rd party apps for free but they have capped it like free GPRS so now i have 50 smsxtender credits which i cant use (for free).

I had a phone call from o2 today regarding the recent wap connection problems. The gentleman from data support who I've been speaking to over the past few days informed me that the +447712 932 932 is now the new wap dial up number and that I should not be charged for this.
I therefore phoned o2 customer support where I was told that they have no acknowledgement of the redundant +44712 927 927 number and this number is still in place.
Having mentioned trying to connect to pop3 servers and such I was told that o2 may have stopped the use of this method and any such procedure should be done via O2mobile web.
Make of this what you will.
