Whilst I agree with you in saying that the P900 isn't a major upgrade from the P800 I would still hold to the view that the memory increase is not 'slight', not as big an increase as we would all have liked perhaps, but still not 'slight'.
Your point about the memory increase being only enough for an extra mp3 is well made, but rests on flawed logic. Both the P800 and the P900 are aimed at business users who, in all likelihood, are not that interested in using it as an mp3 player. Even if the P900 came with a 128 MB card it would still have very poor capacity when compared with an iPod. This is very much academic though as the P900 was never designed to be a dedicated system for listening to music, watching videos, etc it merely has those features as 'extras' to its primary function, making and receiving phone calls.
I think we can both agree that if someone is thinking of buying a P800 or a P900 and can't decide which, then the best thing to do is to go on which one that person can best afford. The abilities of both phones are similar, with the P900 having an edge, but not so much of an edge as to make the P800 worthless.

ok, Igot my P800 for a straight trade against my T610 plus £30 from here on Esato, I then bought a Sony 128mb Mem stick Duo at 10x the transfer rate (dunno if the p800/900 support that, but it came with the stick) at £35inc VAT and del from ebay (tonnes of legit shops selling at these prices on ebay through "Buy it now" just scan the pages) So now I got the video recorder working, I got 3 episodes of The office, loads of games, tonnes of pictures etc etc and am well happy. Of course I'd like the p900 as it looks nicer and has a better screen, but I'd really only pay a maximum of £40 for the pleasure. Apart from not reading realplayer files, 4 a good pay as you go phone , go 4 the P800 at almost a 3rd the price, unless you get a good deal on here. Saw one a few days ago for a p900 4 £200. Taking out a contract for the added short term gain of having a nicer screen, cooler flip and 4 meg extra internal memory is a bit cheeky I think! Or just wait till the new Nokia comes out with its 72 meg internal and 1 Mpxl camera!

I would only advise someone to buy a P900 if they were thinking about taking out a contract, other wise the P800 is a much better deal. I certainly don't think that someone should take out a new contract at the moment just to have a P900, only take out a new contract if you were already thinking of doing so.

As far as the price difference vs the improvements, I see that some places in the world show a considerable price difference between the the pones...Luckily, here in Montreal, both phones are still @ the same price...I don't thinks its right, but nevertheless it's the way it is...Should get me a p900 within the next month if my p800 sale goes well
