I suspect, that the reason they put 32mb on there, is that maybe when you use up all your SMS, Contact space etc, that's what you're left with?

I know for sure mine has more than 32mb.

How about perhaps 32MB is the minimum guaranteed memory you will get after networks have filled it full of undeletable garbage.
U'd be mad if it stated 40MB but several MB of this was inaccessible due to pre-defined stuff!

Yeah, i wasn't too happy when my '2mb' t610 on orange had about 1.5mb on it with all their pre-loaded shit.
I don't think anyone will complain will they, just think how clever they are that their k700 is better than advertised.

Maybe it's something like 48 MB all in all out of which approximately 41 MB is free and left for the end user?

I mean, 7 MB for operating system, predefined stuff, ... is not unlikely, is it?
