well the orange coverage is good , they cover virtually all of the uk but on the orange coverage map there is a big white patch over my village which means no coverage

Vanquish is right, the coverage is excellent with Orange, certainly around where I live in Manchester. I get consistently strong signals and never have any problems placing or receiving calls. O2 doesn't seem quite as good around here. They are a bit more expensive than O2 but I guess it depends what it is important to you personally - good coverage, cost or a branded phone! Orange do mess up the K700 under their own brand. My own is sim-free so I can use Orange without the hassle of a branded phone from them. For me, it's the best of both worlds, but it's all a matter of opinion and what you want from a provider.

One thing though - my friend on O2 has great problems contacting their customer support, takes ages to get through, and has to pay for call whilst holding on! With Orange I rarely have that problem. If I ring, I get through virtually every time [ok going via the usual 'press button 2' menus of course] or if I send an email I usually get a helpful reply the same day if I've sent it in the morning. Personally answering my question, not a standardised reply. So I would say Orange customer service is better, but again you are paying slightly more so it should be.

Well i took my phone back to vodafone today. So just need to look at the pro's and con's of both networks. I didn't mind being on vodafone, they're coverage etc is great but having a phone plastered with VF or live stuff makes it seem like its not your phone. Thanks for the help, nice to find a forum like this.

have a look at the online tariffs from both o2 and orange some great deals
orange-£25 a month 120 mis xnet and 250 texts
o2-£25 a month 50mins xnet and 500 texts
cheap or free k700
one thing to bare in mind o2 no cust services on phone unless you pay about a £1 a min
free cust services with orange 150 from phone
o2 phones very little customisation
orange some as per another thread but how much do you need to have shortcuts if the phones ui is quick and easy to navigate

I've found that O2's signal generally is more reliable and a have some kind of signal in most places, although not quite as strong as Orange's signal.

I'm with O2 contract at the moment, as it has a better signal where I live. However, if Orange's signal in my locality is improved, I'd be very tempted to switch back to them, for the free and better customer services, delivery reports for texts, and I can also dial 150 and find out exactly how many free minutes I've got left.

btw, is there a way to find out how many free minutes I have left each month, either by phoning a number, like 150 on Orange, or online? I'm registered so I can see my O2 bill online, but it doesn't tell me how many free minutes I've got left at all.

I got my k700i on vodafone from CPW in Southampton. V, friendly, got £40 off the price of the phone and miles and miles:eek: better than Singlepoint/Phones 4U:puke:.

I love the phone, and it even makes bluejacking easier and faster, and it gets rid of that horrible phonebook menu that is boring and hard to use and i LOVE the animated wallpapers, so organic!! I have flo.
Whats your favourite theme?

2 gripes though, 1. Li-ion batt. I'm not a let it run out and then charge it kinda guy and 2.Is the camera button on the side hard to press or is it just my phone? what do you think?
