I bought one from Hong Kong. (Don't remember the name of the company...) It seemed to be very nice, but after a while, I got tired of not seeing the screen clarely, and it wasn't as sensible as before. Also, it was very hard to take the protector on/off without destroying it. (I had to bend the corners to take it off)
So I tossed it away after to weeks or so...
But I haven't exactely scratches on my screen, but I can see some of the letters (especially the letter "e") has been "well used..."
Maybe there are something out there to polish the screen with, like the stuff you get for normal screens...

CK
-not too fond of these protectors...

I think that they are great! Sure, it is a bit harder to read outdoors, but as I put my P900 in my pocket (pants or jackets or suits) all the time, it does get a fair amount of rubbing around.

Also, the screen does get scratched from use with the stylus, and a screen protector at least halts that process. Also, I find the protector has a nicer flow (lower friction) than the screen.

Having had a old Palm Pilot that started to look a bit grubby screenwise after a year of so of use I decided a screen protector would be a good idea.

I got the MFOP one and its great - doesn't interfere with writing at all - certainly no regrets in buying it.

As for applying the thing... I didn't have a problem with dust or air bubbles at all.

My tip is to use a couple of those dedicated screen wipes (used to clean LCD flat panels/laptop screens) and then the Grey SE cloth to get any last elements of visible dust off the screen

After that just just work quickly & carefully to apply the overlay...

I agree... I got MFOP and used the screen wipe followed by SE cloth and applied pretty well.

The only problem I see is that the thing seems to have not stuck well around the edges. I see it sligtly lifted / bubbled at the perimeter of the screen (its uniform) when the screen light is off. When I use the phone (and the light comes up) it looks brilliant without any trace of this.

Any clues for this? I can try to reapply if someone has faced it and then rectified it.

I dont use my carry case for the p900 as its so big and, well, a bit gay looking! maybe i should get one of these gizmos! im using the case off my p800 its a lot less camp/yuppy/stupidly huge/looks like a purse.

I thinkI have tiny scratch somewhere, but it's not visible, yuo can just feel it when writing occasionally. I tried a screen protector before but it looked rubbish and seeing as I've had my p800 a year and there's only oen tiny scratch, I can live with that.

I guess you're more likely to scratch somethign if you don't have the flip on, but I keep it on.

I love my screen protector... I use tha stylus ALOT, and I would kill myself if my screen got messed up.... I look at all the DEEP scratches on that tiny peice of plastic and I'm glad that I made that investment.... the only time I notice it is when it is turned off or in screen saver mode, it is otherwise invisible...

I was using my phone for 2 months without any screen protector and nothing showed on my phone's display. But since one can never be to careful I bought a screen protector anyways.

one more question for those who have martin fields screen protector:
They say it's washable. How do you wash it and with what. And most importantly how do you dry it if at all cos there is no such cloth that wouldn't leave something behind.

MFSP are fully washable. U can use any mild soap. Though the difficult part is to dry it koz if u place it anywhere it can get dust on the sticky part very easy. T4 I recommend after wash it, to have a piece of printer paper (dot matrix printer) and to let it dry with the sticky part facing the paper.

I bought a ClearTouch screen protector about 3 months ago and I think it's absolutely great. No more stains and fingerprints on the display. Feels more like writing on paper with the stylus too. The best part is being able to use my fingers to navigate on the display without it getting completely greasy or staind.

The only downside to it is that the display gets just a tad blurred. Not by much though so it's ok.

It's also washable and really easy to apply / reapply, without airbubbles...
