I don't think that Lanyard clip would do much if yanked but it would stop pick-pockets.
If you could phone your mobile with a certain code that emits an electrical shock through the phone, that'll be cool!

Well this is just an OEM - DIY design made by my wife. And I guess the stainless steel cord is strong enough to hold back the snatchers.
As for detachable lanyard clip I think it is quite practical as if it is not detachable, and whe nyou want to place your P900 on your sync staction it looks very funny with that retractable keychain ring holder dangling to it.

maybe the steel is strong but the deattachable thing is not. so if they pull p9 i think the deattachable thing will let them to steal ur phone.
