oOo can ask what you did to fix the problem? I got a k700i today (on orange) and have just switched it on after charging it for 4-5 hours. About every 10-15 mins or so the screen goes white, flickers on and off then restarts itself. It does it regardless of whether the screen saver is on or off, and it has also done it whilst writing a text. I can turn the phone off and on again but it makes no difference. I suppose I'll ring for a replacement tomorrow but did you get a new sim card or just try a different one in the phone? Also can you tell me which firmware version your phone has, mine has R2C001, I was wondering if the phone is from an old batch...

Any help/suggestions appreciated!

I think it is fixed, I moved the sim card about slightly, the phone seems to be working properly now. Hopefully!

Well apparentally the version that is going to be released now is the R2E, with bugs but also without some from the older version R2A.

Never heard of the R2C, i think that one is pretty old. I doubt there's any problems concerning the sim card, most probably the phone software version

I had a simmilar problem with my first k700i, So I removed the battery to turn the pohne off and when I turned it on again all my mp3's, pictures and downloaded themes where gone. I had to get the phone replaced.

The phone is working perfectly now, the sim card must not have been properly on the contacts or whatever. I have looked at someone else's new k700i today (also on Orange UK, no bugs reported), checked fw, it was also R2C001. I dunno, maybe it is an older version, I'll look into it.

Well i'm more interested in the fact whether the R2C version works.

So far i have heard of

R2A041
R2E011
R2C
R2J

So i guess there are many versions but most of them seem to hav bugs except for the R2E and R2J. Either way it might be the same version but maybe the international issues hav something to do with the changing of software names.
