Ok, guys. I will put a pic for all you to see soon. I guarantee you ill love it. It looks terrific and really neat.

The way they do it is, they have this 'roll' of flat plastic paper (you can think of it as a clylindrical pipe like plastic flattened out). They push the phone inside it and cut exact length on both the sides. Then 'seal' both the ends using a sealer. Then place it on a stand and use a 'powerful' hot air blower on it gently blowing hot air from all sides. What this does is it neatly wraps around the phone without any bubbles.

it would be pretty annoying. just use the god damn phone if you break it buy a new one

I agree with BTTF a little. It's like annoying people who don't take the packaging screen protecters of their phone screen for months after buying one (like my Dad). Screen protecters look ok but I would'nt have one.
I suppose though if you want to sell it it might keep the value a little but you don't have the same enjoyment as having a naked phone surely?

leaving a shiny glossy finnish making it resemble cheap plastic what happens when the plastic tears. it is very thin plastic and wont protect anything if you drop the phone and wont the seal at the ends stick out and not be flush with the sides? post the pics when its done.

@BTTF In the end, who cares what it looks like? If you buy a phone on looks it wont be a p900, siemens sl55 is much cooler.
If you buy a good quality phone then you should want to protect it, and the shrink-wrapping certainly works.

ant btw... how many of those suggesting that this is stupid have seen this at work?
To start with, the poster is trying to tell you it looks neat. I can tell you it doesnt look shiny cheap plastic. Of course naked phone is best to look at... but this protects reasonably without compromising the looks.
Maybe some will jump off if he eventually posts the pic.
And if this is true, some people are really missing some basic technology here

l keep my phone naked bar the MFOP and it's nearly 1 year old and has no scratches or dents or chips or cracks.

I didnt buy the phone because of its looks to me it looks good and i aint gonna wrap it in cotton and rarely use it. its a durable phone and i aint clumbsy.

why care about MFOP? Isnt the screen durable?
Many people in other threads have said that they have been using their Px00 for a year without a screen protector and still no scratches on screen!

Finally it boils down to the comfort level you have, the price that you have paid and the environment one uses the phone in. People should respect preferences of others. Someone asked if anybody has experience in laminating the phone and all people did was call the guy stupid

If your clumsy or your phone is liable to suffer heavier wear and tear than average, then things like screen protectors and shrink-wrapping are things you should look into. Ive had my p900 for about 6 months with no scratches, dents etc, but i try to take good care of it.
