Well, i got the call back. The woman just told me they could not support me because the images weren't on oranges website. I think she was misinforming me though, i find it hard to beleive that orange would supply a phone and not support the wap feature because their site didn't have any gifs on it. I have tried the sonyericsson site aswell and even that doesn't work. After asking to speak to a supervisor or level 2 tech (she point blank refused) i was either hung up on or lost the call. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt here and beleive it was dodgy reception (cue all my vodaphone mates saying i told you so!!). I called again apart from chose the option "if you would like to disconnect from orange.....". I got a girl who was much helpfull. She has filed a report with tech support and said i should get a callback from orange within 48hrs. I will be v interested to see what happens. Watch this space!

I thought that would happen. What she really means is that they have no idea what's up.

So they thought they would fob you off with some story that they don't support it.

I know I am a Call centre manager. If they say that they have know idea.

Someone there must know, i guess it just takes a while for these fixes to be recognised and filter their way through the channels. Communication in places like this is can often be pretty limited, my query will probably filter through a number of resolver groups before anyone takes ownership of this fault, i guess i will have to put my faith in that person whoever it may be. I work on tech support for a large company doing this kind of work, so i know what i will be in for!

I would like to end this forum with a fix for any other t68 orange person who still has the globe as his logo!!

Waiting in anticipation........

I called Orange yesterday about this and they were very unhelpful, again suggesting the problem was with me or the website I was using as their WAP service apparentely has no restrictions. Anyway I followed the advice on here and used Ericsson's WAP service and after a slow connection got it working and displaying everything without problem.

Wow! I thought I was the only one with this problem (mainly as anyone else I know with a T68 isn't on Orange or isn't bothered). Anyway, I tried changing to Ericsson wap and it worked perfectly. A few observations - Orange wap doesn't appear to be able to do colour. Images do appear, but they're all 2-colour ones. Perhaps they're using an older implementation of wap? I know someone who works at Orange anyway, so I'll have a word. I can see no reason why Ericsson wap shouldn't work - make sure when you connect, you are actually using Ericsson, not Orange (when you go to WAP services option 1 should be Ericsson WAP).

Anyway, many thanks for sorting this out, at least for me!

I've been reading your postings about the T68 not showing images on WAP. I too am having that same problem here in the US on Cingular while Voicestream customers can see the images. I see that many of you have found the fix with Ericsson's WAP. What do you mean, where can I find these Ericsson settings? I suspected that it was a restriction with Cingulars wap gateway. Does Ericsson have their own gateway?
