will the carphone warehouse do me a firmware upgrade, if i didn't buy the fone from them?About how much would it cost me just to get the upgrade?Thanks by the way!!

Most SE places will do it for free if you have your warranty/guarantee with you. It should be valid for 1 year. They might take a charge if youy want it quicker than the favoured 5 days.

Dude, you are going to have to do a bit of leg work here. Go to the shops. Call SonyEricsson and they will more than likely have all the info that you need. Many of the questions that you asked are only a phone call away.
