@invaders

Thats a massive battery draw! From experience I have found that half an hour uses up only 10pc of the battery or at least thats what im getting form my p900.

A 2 hour movie should only use between 40 - 45pc of the battery. Unless of course people have found that different formats use different battery amounts. I only use 3gp/mp4 so I'm only baseing my battery drainage on that.

Customs fees mate.
Norway is not in the EU so I'd get another 24% put on top of that.

Eh, are we going off topic here or is it just me?

How much memory does a full movie take up? and can someone recommend to me a software that will allow me to 1) make clips of a full movie (i.e I just one some parts) and convert those clips to a format that can be played on my P800. Thanks

Im wondering why do we need to use smartmovie when we could encode videos in mp4 format in MPEGABLE Live and use the built-in Viewer to play the videos?

Is there any special advantage to use smartmovie and xvi formats?

@ alpal

You can make clips with dvd2mobile (20min, 40min ...)
You can choose the best quality and split the dvd movie into parts. Itīs possible then using a 128MB Stick for the first parts and after watching store the other parts on the stick.

I tried the trial version of this software last night and it didn't work worth a shit. It just sat there. It said it was extracting from the DVD, but there was no activity on the CD-ROM (DVD-ROM, whatever) nor did it start playing the DVD before I clicked the Action button...

Any ideas? I was using a Dell Inspiron 5100.

Has anyone seen or used a DVD - MP4 / Xvid (P900 Low-Res) conversion apps for Mac OS X? I know 'Handbrake' does MP4 from DVD, but can you reduce the size and such to make the files optimal for our P900's?

While i'm posting, is there any Video Playback app that you can access flip closed? Pictures also... I don't understand why you *HAVE* to open the flip to access pics and video...
