It seems ludicrous for North America to have a different 3G standard to Europe when most of the planet looks set to adopt the European standard. North America has a golden opportunity to catch up with Europe and Asia in terms of mobile technology and services if they adopt the 3G standard everyone else is adopting.
I would be interested to know how far the American networks have gotten with their 3G networks, have they been introduced officially yet?
