Oh yes it does! That 5 cm just allows my phone to be on my nightstand while charging overnight which means I can reach it and switch of the alarm in the morning without having to fall out of bed and scramble about hurt and cold to get hold of the damned thing!

i don't charge it every night.. I charge it twice per week. But I have my phone by my bedside every night... even when it's charging. That was the point
