Does anyone else think that the spec SE put out is somewhat misleading??400 hours? WTF does that come from? I'm lucky if I get a few days. Normally end up putting mine on charge everytime I have the chance. The battery life has got a little better but its nowhere near what I get with the Moto V600 or the Nokia 8890 I have. all in all I'm quite disappointed and may be speaking to my local Trading Standards about false claims by SE!

reduced my brightness to 75% and extended my battery life by about 30% (rough guess)

It seems this brightness feature is exclusive to the P910.

Would anyone know if there is some software for the P900 that can do this ?

Thanks for the response altho it wasn't what I wanted to hear ;-(
What does the 400 hours standby and 13 hours talk time in the P910 specs refer to - just flip closed phone?

Thanks again.

Flip closed. The phone uses a lot of bbattery when flip is opened and has to go through a series of transition and vice versa when flip is closed.

I can in fact verify that the P910i does last 14 days on standby in phone-on mode BUT with no calls or flip opening.
As suggested by someone earlier, I reduced my screen brightness from 85 to 75% and that seems to have extended battery life to 3 days with GPRS on.

My battery must be very bad.
i bought my p910 from handymobilez and the battery was loaded when i got it (maybee someone have charged it too short), and when i have 100% and goes to bed, it is 4% in themorning.

I have GPRS off, BT off, 44% screen brightness.

the backlight is the biggest effect on the battery charge time i think. i was using my p910i with a value %100 of brightness and with moderate use, i was using my phone approx. 36 hours. after decreasing it to %50, (only a little bit change for my eyes), i can hold the phone for 2 days, 48 h.

try to decrease the backlight and also use "blank" for your screen after 1 min. instead of a clock or a screen saver

@ HansErik

as a bad luck, look up the poles, maybe you have a chance of a short-circuit ???

I couldn't agree more. When they say up to 400 hours, I suspect we could all live with 350. But when you can't even get to 100!!!! I think there is definitely a case for a Trading Standards prosecution. Does anyone from SE ever read this stuff? I think we'd all like to hear you explain the 400 hour claim. More importantly, who fancies a class action against SE? 50 of us is better than 2.
