From what I understand this IMEI confusion exists only with branded P910s right? (Vodafone, Orange)
Does someone with a SIM-Free P910 faced that problem?

I have a problem with PC Suit also and it continues to show that i have wrong EMAI: 14******* . After the programs were installed (eZItap & Tracker) and after that i made BackUp of the system these problems are occuring! After that i tryed to install completelly new app (Mahjong, MiniGPRS), the worng EMAI is again here!!! it looks like i can't install any app that could work on my P800! I formated the whole phone, but nothing changed..same problem with all the programs! On the other hand, oxygen phone manager shows the right EMAI! and i was thinking, if there is maybe a way to find this problems in registers? to try to delete it or something..

@bossti1 and anyone else with this problem.
I have had murders with this. The answer is that we don't know why this is happening, but if you email ZIcorp/Symbianware/the developers of any other apps that you have this issue with, they can and will issue a new reg code for the weird IMEI (147xxxxxx) that your P910i displays with that software.
Beware that, unlike with the normal IMEI, it is important that you give them the IMEI EXACTLY AS IT IS DISPLAYED. I got two different reg codes from ZI corp because I didn't include the "-" the first time round and it consequently didn't work.
Good news is, as I write, all my apps are now working as they were from my P900, so this is a solution.

Hi,
I had a look at this last night. It seems that Symbian has changed the code used to read the IMEI numbers. So until all the applications get updated they'll be getting an incorrect IMEI number and screwing up your registration.
Its very little effort to generate a key to match this incorrect IMEI number, so if you buy a product and it doesn't work then just email the developer.
I'll be investigating this further tonight to apply the fix to Soldier Ants and I'll leave another post when I know more.
Cheers,
Tom

My Orange branded P910i has the same problem, two IMEI numbers both different but each one 17 digits long.
This message was posted from a P910

A friend of mine had the exact same problem on a P900 after running the Update Service.
After a lot of cursing and swearing, he tried to run the update service a second time.
Then the problem was gone. IMEI and aps. back to normal.
