> k700 - Unable to turn phone off!

@ kllr_dude: I switch mine always off when I want to sleep; I don't want to be waked up by somebody stupid who dialled a wrong number or something like that
I don't need a mobile phone during sleep, and the alarm clock which I am using every morning switches the phone on automatically.
And I switch it off to save battery energy.

Me always put my fone in ON position - 24/7 as to test it specially if newly bought! So that it will be replaced if I've noticed something wrong with it's LCD and all . . .

Guys,
It's NOT a hardware fault, my phone did it after putting R2L on.
The fix is VERY simple. Do a master reset (Menu, Settings, Master Reset). You will of course loose all your saved content, but the phone will start/shutdown fine afterwards.
Mine has been fine for several weeks after I did this.

For the n'th time I tried a master reset, and as uasual to no use...
The phone continues its own life. When trying to switch it off, it cycles through black/white, fades the keyboard, and back on it is!
Took it to the service-shop today, and all they did was a complete re-flash. Did absolutely not help...
They told me the next option was to ship it to the main service-center for my country, and that it will take 2-3 weeks to be repaired.
As a custom service, they offered me to _rent_ a T29 in the meantime!! (Yes, exactly why I bought a high-tech phone as the k700... to end up with a T29..)
