As I said, tried everithing but no luck, the account is working great on outlook, but it's imposible to make it work on the phone, it never founds the server. Maybe Gmail is locked to wap access.

I cannot connect to it with t68i because it doesn't support SSL.
I suppose t610 doesn't either so it will not work with Gmail POP3. I dont own a t610 so I might be wrong though...
Does the recent SE phones support SSL?

works fine from my iPAQ though first time I connected I got an invalid certificate warning but was able to continue
also, it seems to load up all my inbox and sent emails too
on my K700 it says "server found" and thats as far as it gets. didn't try the V3 yet but will do so later

Someone on my-symbian forum emailed Gmail and this is the answer he got:
"Thank you for your email. Currently, Gmail does not support POP access to
Sony/Ericsson phones. As we continue with our beta test release of Gmail,
we look forward to providing additional features and enhancements to our
service.
Sincerely,
The Gmail Team"

Ok, it appears as if they shut off support for SE phones, my k700i gets to the server found then just stays there forever. They did this sorta crap with the webmail.. locking out all but a few browsers.
Another problem may arise though, if they do happen to enable POP access for SE phones. They want SSL and authenticated SMTP. Well SSL isn't much of an issue (unless you have a t68i). But I know they dropped authenticated SMTP outta the k700i (i THINK the t610 had it, not sure as I only used them once in awile, never owned one). Thats where the gmail situation stands.
namal: You're an idiot. I can't believe you would waste space asking a question like that. Ever try a search engine? If you havn't figured out how to get one, you don't deserve one.
Err.. I'm gonna add this in. I found a service called hriders.
http://www.hriders.com, they offer a pretty good webmail system, but the things that are quite interesting its that its size it 1TB (1,000 times the size of what gmail is offering.. yeah), and 500meg max attachments. The main things you guys would need on the phone is access.. and they allow POP, IMAP, and SMTP access, i've been usin this account for a few days now and it works excellently with my k700i (no smtp auth needed, no SSL, so t68i users will be happy)
