There is a trick to using fma. Get pictures out of camera-semc. I.e, go to camera pictures, mark several, move to folder pictures. Now start fma, go to pictures. There you will fine the pictures listed. Now select the picture/s you want and download. Cable is slower than ir. So i suggest you stick to ir.

Hi friends
Any of the Sony Ericsson friends, please tell me whether you are using file manager for data transfer from mobile to PC? I want to transfer pictures from mobile to pc.
I used file manager. But it shows not connected even if my desktop Icon shows the device is connected in a speed of 11500 bps.
Thanks in Advance

Your problem is typical of users trying to connect using IR adapter. In win98, you install the drivers of the IR adapter. After that go to control panel, and click infrared and enable the relevant options ( it should not be difficult to select the same. Place the handset in front of the IR after switching on IR on it. Phone will be detected, but you will require drivers for the handset......available on CD.
XP is easy....install IR properly then it will detect handset automatically.....doesnt need driver.
Alternatively BT will be better and faster.....but is a huge drain on battery.......you'll also need latest f/w updates for stable operation.

HI
I use windows 2000. But when I install the driver, it first goes to the driver which is in the folder of win98. I manually selected the driver which is in win2000/xp folder. Will that be the reason and Is file manager is used to transfer pictures from mobile to pc in sony ericsson?
Lot of thanks for your info and thanks in advance

@ EM
Yes sir ..... you've got it right ...... when Win2K tries to install win98 drivers, you need to manually select the Win2k drivers......if you have already installed the Win98 drivers, unintstall and then reinstall.
