Do not allow any lithium based battery to go dead. Repeated discharging will damage the internal cells and shorten the charge life to about the stated 4-6 hours... with or without use.

Is it so? If that's how it is i must change my rutines for charging...

Well I did the phone reset and I think it has done the trick. I've had one of the batteries go the whole day and it is still now at 38% so much better than the past week although it is always difficult to say under non-controlled situations. Maybe I talked less on it today etc....but overall, the feeling I have is that it is better.....Time will tell!

also the same problem in my p910i, with a normal use, the battery goes 30 hours, i tried once the maximum time in flight mode, the phone stand 56 hours

but also it is hard to use less battery for the phones, larger screen => less battery

I really don't know what you guys do with your phones. I have a P900 since last february, and I have a full week of battery life. That is, seven days, without flight mode and with bluetooth on. True I don't use the phone much during the day (maybe 3-5 calls) but still.

Oh, and I'm always careful to try to let the battery go down to 0% before I recharge - but not systematicaly, if I need the phone, I charge it.

The "don't let the lithium go to 0%" post is plain bullshit (and my phone is here to prove it), the lithum batteries do have some sort of memory effect (even if it's not chemical) because of the way the software that regulates the charging is made.
In fact *every* piece of equipment I have that uses Lithium-ion have the same behaviour, on some device you can prevent it, on some you can't. In the P900 you can.

I have a P800 and it suddenly started draining fast. Eventually, I figured out that if I kill the applications list with sman when I turn the phone on, it fixes the problem. The app list seems to be getting stuck in a loop and the phone goes noticably slower.

Yup this thing bout draining battery 2 a low level is dross.Put it 1 way my t68 of a good few years old now, is doing fine, and it goes thru the full charge and discharge cycle. True I don't really use this much these days, but the battery is still in good condition. Read the other threads for more info. It seems that the P900 has a strange battery life with some people lasting a while and some not lasting very long either. Mine is in between but it does go through heavy usage, with a few phone calls and 50 minutes of browsing and chatting every day and I get about 2 days of use before charging. It could be the cold weather as well. Lithium hates the cold weather and doesnt last as long. I always carry lithium batteries 4 my camera in a warm pocket 2 keep them in an optimum condition for this reason. As many other people have suggested kill any apps with sman that your not using. switch off gprs to if you don't need it.

I charge my batteries only after they are discharge. So in that case is it possible to gain their optimal performance again by charging the m from now when they are on 1/4 power level?

This is the answer to my question on the previous post.

I fully charged my mobile and once the battery went on 1/4 level (the same day) , I fully charged it again, and since Saturday the battery level now is on 58%! I think in this way the battery has gained again its capacity!!? Anyway it works. At the end of this week I will have a better opinion.
