yeah definitly is different in uk and also here in germany, perhaps the infrastructure is different in netherlands with the smaller population that they can provide both services through the same servers without affecting performance. but I'm just speculating now.
anyway, hopefully vodafone can sort out msmmsm's problem satisfactorily

Just back from Vodafone shop. Tried a motorola V980 with it's own payg 3g sim card and with my own payg sim card, still very slow downloads, so it looks as if all 3g payg phones will run at gprs speeds.
I dont know what annoys me more, a problem like this on a phone I really want or the different excuses I get everytime I call Vodafone about it. It's true that only a very small percentage of people would notice this speed difference, but it takes about 4min instead of 30 sec to download a clip, thats just unacceptable.
It's like buying a Ferrari and being stuck in 1st gear!
I took my phone back and am sticking with my K700 until this gets sorted.

Perhaps waiting for the unbranded version might be a idea? Vodafone mess there handsets up sumat chronic, my mums old C35 didn't have any voda on it nor was it locked, when I tried using it for wap, sites were blocked need some code from them to solve that out! How much does voda charge u to download every min?

Im not going to let this slip, will keep Vodafone on their toes until it is sorted.
