Hi there, Just found this site and found it great. Im own a P900 which was recently replaced by orange as i dropped the old one! Anyway i have just got the phone unlocked but after installing some software ( ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling it ) but still doesnt work. Ive come to the conclusion that i need to format the phone ?? but before i do just have a few questions:
1. If i restore the factory settings will i have to unlock the phone again?
2. can i used the GPRS on other networks with different sim cards ie abroad.
3. What will reflashing do to the phone settings and software? and will this mean that i dont have to unlock the phone again?
Hope someone can help

@djcammy
no flashing cant be done remotely im afraid. i am not sure why you cant update though. i believe people with similar problems have been advised to Contact SE and they will talk you through it.

@mako: 1. Yes. 2. Depends, but usually, you cant. 3. Reflashing with SE firmware gives you a phone you can use on any network. No, you wont have to unlock it again.

That should be cool then as if it comes to the worst blackpool is only about 40mins away at busy time of day so should be ok if i need to go there.
Dont mind paying either as the phone is good enough to warrant a little more spending on it

Its working!!!
And if anyone does this all the backups youve made will be userless so just make sure you pull your pics and stuff off seperately as i restored mine and it put the voda stuff back on, but a master reset saw her back with no voda cack
Got her working on O2 now and can send and recieve and use gprs and mms fine now.
Just o2 dont want to help me get at my media messages that are stored due to their website being useless and not letting me into them
Thanks again all for your help. Only took less than 1hour in the end and was a dam good job
