Too risky, if you ask me. The pxxx is a business phone, and getting put out means stopping business.

I have just had my P900 flashed to P910 sofware by Stu from Handy Mobilez (http://www.handymobilez.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=52_159&products_id=268)

Cost was £17, which includes the firmware update, unlocking the network provider and return (insured) postage.

Using a tracked postage method to him, the handset was delivered at 1115 am one day and I had it returned by 0815 am the next. What a fantastic service.

If you need your handset unlocked from the network provider, most places charge £10 anyway, so £17 is very reasonable. It's worth it just to use larger capacity memory disks (even tho SE said it couldn't be done).

I still think that its risky, and i wouldn't go for it.

Nah, CPW won't flash P900-P910. I don't think it's risky and I now have a personalized P905! Try it, if you don't like it flash it back!

I got my P910i which is locked on Vodafone flashed from aboveconnection last week. I went to his showroom in London Tuesday last week and got mine flashed and it took just 20 minutes. My mobile hasn't got any vodafone crap now. It's working fine... Excellent service from Aboveconnection. Cheers Aboveconnection..

hi, you would need to take the backup first, and the re-install will work fine.
cheers.
