I agree entirely, the t68i is a great phone and would make an ideal 'pay as you go phone' for those people not requiring more complex features.
Going back to what was being discussed earlier, a friend of mine in the mobile industry told me that a lot of reconditioned mobiles end up being given away to charities that work in 'the developing world' in order to allow their volunteers to commuinicate whilst keeping down the costs (no outlay for the phones at least). Don't know if that's what really happens, but he had no reason to lie
Also, the last Michael Palin series shown in the UK featured a village in Tibet that had been donated a thoroughly ancient satallite phone, which was used as the village 'phone box'.
So maybe there is life for old phones after all!

@ Cycovision: There may be some truth to that. I have seen some of those grandmother type, really big mobiles around, and I know that NO-ONE still produces those.

In my opinion the T68i is worth its weight in gold!

Still think SE should do an upgrade of the T28, its still a very good phone, surely there is a market out there for a hi spec slim phone. When I say hi spec I mean functionality not blo**y cameras and polyphonics for the kids, I mean bluetooth, calender etc
