Hello my first post
nice discussion. I would like to add my view i have always used my P800 and P900 flip off as i always kept the tracker desk view on the screen. And because i was rather good with the stylus and writiing on it using it flip off was the best way. When i got hold of my P910 i thought hmmm i will give this flip some time on because of the new qwerty key board. Because i'm always out and about and not say on a desk the qwerty keyboard was hard for me to use quickly i was quicker using T9 so i took it off and reverted back to flip off mode i am most happy with this method.

my experience wit my p910 in flip closed mode isnt very good. the ph's usage is very very limited..like u cant edit a contact even creating a new contact is verry tiring.but still i m continouing wit d flip..dont know y..

I have always used my P910i without the flip - it looks nicer and I prefer having it off as I tend to use the full screen apps a lot. Had no problems using the onscreen keyboard either.

i often use the keyboard but i like it off better. I still use the phone with the flip on because it's irritating to always have to use the stylus to activate keylock. The automatick lock isn't fast enough.

Just thought I would throw my view in again, I've kept the flip on as I find the phone functions are better without having to mess about with the stylus, straightforward taking and making calls is easier. However, have I used the qwerty keyboard? Once and shan't be bothering again!! Using the predictive text with the standard keypad is so much easier!! To my mind it was a complete waste of time putting it on there!

I think having the flip on is better. Since your screen is protected and you can use the phone functions normally. The little keyboard is good if you cant use a stylus, like on the move (e.g train). Also sometimes it is faster to use the keyboard. It's a shame though that it is not illuminated.

The flip could be an accessory. Then everyone would be happy. If you dont want it, you simply wouldn't buy it.
I use the flip extensively, so I am happy the way things are. It would be interesting to hear comments from guys who don't use the flip much.
