> Sony Ericsson to concentrate on cheaper phones!

There is a huge market for low end phones here in india. Se shouldn't miss it. At the same time, it should also not lose focus on the higher segment which is it's forte.

1. I have just recently used IRda for the first time. It has one big advantage over BT: no pairing. Just send and receive. It is so simple, everybody can do it. BT is more complex. I doubt anyone here on the forum has trouble sending files through BT but out there the idea of pairing is cumbersome. Therefore IRda should be standard on every phone. Also with such an installed base of IR ports it kind of isolate new phones.
2. I can't believe SE would focus on low end phones only.
3. On the other hand feature packed phones like the T610 are now so cheap that one might consider it low end in price. I wonder if they will stop this price-dropping strategy if they have more low-end phones.

Good news. But SE will loose its charm as a mid-high end phone. Oh well, better than loosing SE as a whole.

Nokia already skipped IR on some phones, but IMO it's too early. Bluetooth isn't yet so "plug'n play".

@DeLa: You don't always have to pair two devices to be able to exchange files. You can also simply activate BT on both and send.
