Its difficult for me to understand your situation, because in my country, we have flat rate GPRS/EDGE for approx $2.2 per mont for unlimited wap and about $12.8 for unlimited web access. All this wit the broadband like speeds of EDGE( around 384kbps) its quite cheaper then csd.

@Debu

Likewise, if l were in your situation, the hell with CSD. But then I'm not & l'm paying per KB on GPRS, per minute after the 1st free minute...

Hmmmm.....toho, i see your point there. What i have as yet failed to comprehend is if it takes so long to connect, how do you manage to connect, download and disconnect within a minute?

@ Debu

It doesn't take long to connect. As I've said earlier less than 35 seconds to get a page. It's just that I want to disconnect automatically to make things easier.

Off course there are times when I just use GPRS when I want convenience...but it's not free. Get the drift.

@toho: One solution would be to ditch the P-series & get a phone that allows you to set a time-out 0-30 seconds. There are phones with options that flexible out there. You want free browsing, you take the step. At the moment no app for that purpose exists, to the best of my knowledge. This message was posted from a P800

The suggestion is noted, but no way will l dump my p800 for that feature. lt was just a wishlist. Who knows some developer who reads this might just do it. Wishing again...
