Yeah, Nokia 6600 is Symbian Series 60, which I think works as well (in fact was probably released before UIQ!)

I think this thread is proof enough that not everyone that swipes a phone is a real thief and the OP's story is proof enough that this program is worth a small investment. I would buy it if I thought it were at all possible that someone would take my phone on accident I would for sure buy this program.

Yep, it's a great piece of software. First thing I had installed

It's not guaranteed to get your stolen phone back, but it makes it hassle to the thief.

You can also set a message for it to display when locked. I set it to say "please call 07770 xxxxxxx" which is my girlfriends number. About 2 minutes after i sen the message a friend called to say she had the phone. Her husband had the P910 too and she hand mistakenly thought that my one was his one, so no real harm done but I dont think I would have found the phone so quick if not for the app.
Would recommend it!
[/quote] What do you mean to set the message for it to display when locked? do you mean the display on the phone from where you sent the lock message or the stolen one or both? because on my P910 i cant see such message on the display!

Its simple. When you activate PhoneSecure, its locks the phone and in doing so it displays, in flip open mode, a message set by you the user.

@frontman
Just curious, do you work for or in any way connected to the developers of this app?

suspicious?
I'm sure he doesn't - and I can also echo his sentiments as to the application's usefulness, and I don't work for whoever-it-is that made it either

Just curious.... Wanted to ask two questions
1. What if before you get to activate the lock the thief is smart enough to uninstall all user applications ( a SMART THIEF ) or gives a master reset.
2. After the lock is activated can the thief go for a master reset or some firmware upgrade which automatically goes for a master reset thing.... That way he would get rid of the application causing this issue.... That again would be a job of SMART THIEF with integrated high tech knowledge....
I am impressed with the application and the cost is also worth it.... but just wanted to know hitches involved in it.... as to how much can i depend on this application.
