When I experience this problem the GPRS bar disappears, although the signal bars may very well remain, sometimes showing a rather strong signal.

It never lasts much more than a few minutes with me, but it does happen periodically, perhaps once every few days or so.

I too loose the gprs triangle and then goes into sos mode. The signal strength varies from time to time depending on rest of the networks. Here i experience it like 5 times a day. Nothing new. If you put it in your pant pocket, you will loose the signal. Also with my 2nd sim, the caller will not hear the voice. (With 5 bars!) This persisted only near my house and when i go like bout a kilometer away, i can speak ok.

yes i know waht u mean the same thing happend to me couple times before but this time it was very strange and it lasted the whole day. I couldn't make calls for the whole day and i got worried.
So I guess its a common problem in se phones>?

Yup. Must be common. And in poor reception areas. SE really fares low in poor reception areas. Elsewhere it is great.

so it was a temporary operator bug, i had it aswell sometimes, last ca half year ago vodafone in hungary was "dead"
