As they say, "all publicity is good publicity". I think SE didn't expect as much. I mean, what harm will it really cause, chatting about forth coming releases, a few days before they get released?

It really can effect a companies strategy, suppose, if SE planned for a surprise entry and we ruin it for them, then what? What if other manufacturers and not SE have been watching over us? Therefore, i think it is justified if SE pressures us to remove stuff from this website. This message was posted from a K500

Get your most loyal customers talking about the new products, who in turn probably get others thinking about it... brilliant for the Sales and Marketing Group!

Then they remove the thumbnails... so everyone thinks it must be 'true' - absolute class of genius!

If they are that sensitive to 'unofficial publicity",there is not much they can do. The Moto article was removed from MR upon request (Clara thread), t is funny how SE hasn't done the same regarding the Clara thread. . .

We are doing exactly what SE wants us to do. They create the expectation through Esato.

3 people in my company already have passed orders to Vodafone for the Clara. Vodafone still does not know what it is, but they will speak with their colleagues:"look, this guys want something that's not even out yet, it must be a killer" and so on.

It is all a marketing strategy. They would want to prevent leaks if it was months ago, because they would not want other brands to anticipate on their strategy. But now... it works in their favour. Come on, they put it on their website. They try to turn us crazy, and that is just what we are doing.

I have to say, I agree with you PeeJay. They know exactly how to drum up anticipation on new products.

Like you said, if it was months ago then I could see how the damage could be done but if the releases are just around the corner then what difference can it really make.

They must have underestimated how much esato would analyse and take apart the website pictures and decipher exactly which handsets were which.

It must have been like throwing a steak to a pack of hungry wolves.
