Why don't you try switching your text setting from GPRS to GSM. It worked for me.

You'll find they don't. They might be in the same series but they definately DO NOT use the same firmware. There's plenty of aspects through all of SE's phones where the firmware is the same but no two models use the same firmware.
i think you will find they do!!! they firm i have on my k500I is the r2ae033 and guess what my cusin has on his k700i? r2ae033!!!

I bought a sim free k700i from mobilefun.co.uk and use an o2 online sim in it and it works fine

The problem is with some k7s and S7's on O2. Hence the Watchdog program.
