@MTM,
How did you flash your v/z800? Did you use the cable that came with it or did you use the DSS-25 Sync Station and did you use TMS or Da Vinci. I have decided to take the plunge and try to flash my v800 before I get the z800.

If i may just say,
CID36 phones have been supported for somedays now. Cruiser was first, then TMS (z800 firm) released a server version now everyone can flash CID36 phones. No problem anymore

Hey brooks mate
Is the cable that comes with the v800 the cable that should be used rather than the DSS-25?

Then I guess I am screwed as it seems that my v800 can not see the pc via the DSS-25 anymore. No idea why. I did install some Nokia software on the pc for my wife, but my s700i can upgrade via the DSS-25. Oh well. I was going to buy a z800 anyway. Now I will have to.

Why not just get a Fighter USB cable and use TMS? Cheaper than buying a new phone.

I do not have serial access on any pc. I have a Mac and a PC, but the PC is a laptop without a serial port, so I need a USB or no flashy, flashy.
Ignore the above. I see that it is USB. It's late here. Anyway, I can probably sell the v800 or give it to my daughter. I get almost 50% off on SE phones here in Finland so I will not hurt to bad if I have to buy one. I just wanted to flash it if possible. Also, I am not bothered by the lose of the one key or the Vodafcuk crap on the phone.
